No more sitting on floor for kgotla attendants

09 Jul 2018

Remmogo KSII Class of 94 has donated over 60 chairs to Bakwena main kgotla.

Handing over the chairs on Saturday, the association’s chairperson Mr Reginald Bakwena said the donation was prompted by the realisation that there was a shortage of chairs at the kgotla.

As a result, the elderly were forced to sit on the floor during kgotla meetings, he said.

Mr Bakwena said the association decided that each member should bring at least one chair to fulfil their objective of helping the kgotla.

The association comprises  former Kgari Sechele Secondary School students who completed in 1994. Mr Bakwena explained that its mandate was to help the vulnerable around Molepolole, especially in the area of education.

For his part, Kgosi Kgari Sechele III of Bakwena applauded the association for the good gesture.

He encouraged them to continue with the spirit of compassion and wished them all the best in their current and future endeavours.

One of the chief’s advisors, Kgosi Kootsene Ditshasa advised other associations to benchmark from Remmogo KSII Class of 94 and help the community at large. Ends
