02 Jul 2018
A Molepolole family that was massacred by unknown assailants was laid to rest on June 30.
The family; father, mother and son were found dead in their house by the surviving son, Mr Tebogo Ramantosha, who at the funeral paid homage to them, describing them as loving and united family.
The funeral had attracted multitudes of people including political leaders as well as pastors and dikgosi, perhaps because of the manner in which the family died, leaving many people traumatised.
One of the speakers and also an elder Mr Ntona Gaonakala said when they arrived at the family homestead on that fateful Friday evening after learning about the incident, they found the deceased with their arms and legs tied and their mouths and noses also tightly wrapped.
He further said the incident seemed to have happened on the evening of Thursday June 21.
He, however, stated that the incident had really touched him and could not say much except that he was hurting so much.
Speaker after speaker could not bring themselves to come to terms with what had happened and had very few words to say.
The deceased couple as well as their late son were described as loving and always cheerful.
The couple was also described as hard workers.
The deceased Patrick Ramantosha aged 56 was employed as a driver at the Department of Veterinary Services in Molepolole.
His wife Boingotlo Ramantosha aged 47 did not have formal employment while the son died aged 22.
The police are yet to make a breakthrough on the case. ENDS
