Police arrest suspects for theft

Francistown police have arrested five men in connection with theft of 40 Plasma television sets at a warehouse in on the June 21.
A press release from Botswana Police Service states that police also managed to recover cash amounting to over P30 000 from the suspects believed to be proceeds from the stolen goods.
It says preliminary police investigations reveal that the suspects broke into the warehouse on different occasions and stole the television sets.
It further says the suspects, Lisani Mudongo (27), Norman Bigman (25), Mpho Ganetsang (27), Lwane Matandela (23) and Keorapetse Thapelo (26) appeared for mention before the Francistown Magistrate Court on June 25 and have since been remanded in custody.
It also says the suspects will appear again at the Francistown Magistrate Court on July 3. Police investigations, however, are ongoing. ENDS
