President Masisi consoles Butale family

President Mokgweetsi Masisi on June 15 visited the family of the late Ms Janet Butale to them.
The President’s visit took place prior to the funeral, which was in Masunga on June 16.
The late Ms Butale was the mother of the Assistant Minister of Health and Wellness and also MP for Tati West Mr Biggie Butale.
She died on June 12 in Masunga after a long illness.
President Masisi, who was accompanied by Assistant Minister for Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration, Mr Machana Shamukuni said he was saddened by the passing of Ms Butale, hence he took it upon himself to come and comfort the family, more so that he would not be able to attend the funeral the next day.
Furthermore, President Masisi stated that the fact that the Butale family was a Christian family was comforting because they would lean on God during this difficult time.
The Butale family representative, Mr Meshack Ditlhogo thanked President Masisi for taking time to come to Masunga to console them.
He highlighted that the deceased had been ill for a long time, but endured all because she was a fighter.
Mr Ditlhogo noted that the illness became severe December last year, but Ms Butale continued to fight and recuperated only to succumb to the illness on June 12.
The deceased is survived by five children, four men and a woman. ENDS
