Sefhare JSS celebrates good results

Sefhare JSS class of 2017, who are currently at senior secondary school, have been urged to continue supporting the school by assisting their younger brothers and sisters to perform well.
Speaking during an excellence awards ceremony held in honour of students who performed well in the 2017 Junior Certificate Examinations, the school head, Mr Bauni Phuthego informed parents that the school was striving to improve performance.
He said the 2017 students performed better than the previous groups, adding that the four stream school managed to produce three As.
The school attained 46.1 per cent ABC, making a 15 per cent improvement from 31.7 attained in 2016.
“I commend the class of 2017 for the job well done, you made us proud,” he said.
For his part, a representative from Operations Investments Mr Eugine Maraura, whose company sponsored the awards, also commended students and teachers for the performance.
He implored students to continue working hard until they reached all levels of education, adding that education was the key to success.
He said he was happy to be serving in a company that has a positive impact on education, adding that for the past three years they were engaged by the government to maintain photocopying machines in 30 schools across the country.
He said his company always ensured that the photocopying machines were working to enable teachers to administer tests and provide teaching materials.
He said prior to that it was difficult for schools to administer tests and examinations due to printing challenges. ENDS
