Toy company donates to ease learning

Genius Families group of companies has donated fidget spinner toys worth P120 000 to Palapye primary schools.
In an interview , Genius Families group of companies’ director of sales and marketing, Mr Philisani Amos said the donation was part of their corporate social responsibility adding that Genius Families embraced the spirit of community services and caring for the needy hence it was only natural to donate gifts to children.
He said it has been scientifically proven that fidget spinner toy could reduce stress and anxiety in both children and adults.
He said they deliberately chose Palapye having noticed that it was one of the communities in the country which required support from various organisations towards uplifting the quality of lives of the students and community.
He pointed that Genius Families had been in consultations with Palapye community leaders with a view to formalise their partnership and explained that the intention was to adopt some schools in Palapye.
Mr Amos said he hoped that through the consultations, they would agree on long term targets between the two parties.
He said Genius Families would have Palapye as its base in the country where they could showcase services offered by their company and also create employment for residents of Palapye.
The Member of Palapye for Palapye Mr Moiseraele Goya thanked Genius Families for the spirit of benevolence noting partnership in education between companies and government could help to improve academic results.
He appealed to other companies and stakeholders to cultivate and embrace the spirit of giving back to the community.
He said gifts from Genius Families would lower learners’ stress levels as they encounter diverse challenges that disturb their learning process. Ends
