Ramokgwebana bye-election July

A bye-election for Ramokgwebana Polling District in the Tati West Constituency will be held on July 14.
In an election instrument issued on June 7, Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Dr Pelonomi Venson-Moitoi says nominations of candidates for the bye-election shall be received by June 22 from 9am to 1pm and 2:30pm to 5pm at Ramoja Junior Secondary School in Ramokgwebana.
A press release from the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) says Minister Venson-Moitoi has issued the election instrument in accordance with section 154 (2) of the Electoral Act, (Cap. 02:09).
The by-election follows the death on April 18 of Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) councillor, Phikisani Makgetho at Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital after a long illness on. ENDS
