Sechele man commits suicide

Kutlwano police in Francistown are investigating a case in which a 43-year-old man was found hanging from the rafters of his brother’s house in Francistown’s Somerset Extension on May 28.
Kutlwano station commander, Superintendent Neo Serumola confirmed the incident, saying the matter was reported by the deceased’s brother, who had just knocked off from work at around 2.45pm.
Superintendent Serumola explained that the deceased used a rope to hang himself in one of the bedrooms in his brother’s house.
He said the deceased did not leave any note and that the police were still trying to establish why the deceased committed suicide.
He said the deceased, who was an engineer at the City of Francistown Council, was residing at China Town location at the time of committing suicide.
The names of the deceased, who hails from Sechele in the North East District, are still withheld although his next of kin have already been informed about the incident.
Superintendent Serumola advised people to always seek counseling assistance from either the police or social workers whenever they have problems, adding that this was the first incident of this nature to happen in his area of jurisdiction this year. ENDS
