Police arrest notorious Cabbage

Police in Bobonong have finally nabbed a 42-year-old man of Rasetimela Ward who has been on the run since 2015.
He was wanted for various cases of stocktheft.
Bobonong Police Station commander, Superintendent Paul Seoko said the man, Isaac Molefi known as ‘Cabbage’, is a suspect in various cases of stocktheft pending before courts and others yet to be registered.
‘Cabbage’, he said, was terrorising farmers in Lepokole, Shashe cattlepost, Mosung and many areas as he stole their livestock.
He said the suspect was also in the list of wanted people in Zimbabwe, where he is also wanted for stealing stock.
Supt. Seoko said the suspect was arrested on May 27 in Bobonong and would face another charge of stealing two donkeys.
‘Cabbage’ was arrested with his co-accused, 27-year-old Moremi ‘Ice’ Lepodisa, also accused of stealing stock.
Meanwhile, the commander pleaded with residents of Molalatau and the surrounding areas to assist them arrest an unknown motorist who knocked and killed a Molalatau resident, Mr Mmelegi Simon (34) of Makhura ward.
Supt Seoko said the incident happened on May 10 in Molalatau where the assailant knocked and later concealed the victim’s body under a bridge at Thune River.
The police have pledged P25 000 to whoever will assist them arrest the culprit(s). He promised that they would treat the information as confidential to protect the informant. ENDS
