Palapye Magistrate Court has remanded a 35-year-old man of Serowe for 14 days pending investigations over the murder incident which occurred at Extension 7 in Palapye recently.

Palapye Police Station Commander, Superintendent Waboraro Ramaja said in an interview that the suspect was arraigned before Palapye Magistrate recently where the court remanded him for 14 days pending investigations.

He said even though the police investigations were still at preliminary stage, it was alleged that the suspect and the deceased had a misunderstanding which resulted in the suspect stabbing the deceased with a knife.

He said the deceased aged 41 from Dagwi was certified dead on arrival at Palapye Primary Hospital.

Superintendent Ramaja said once the police had completed their investigations, the suspect would be taken before the Palapye Magistrate Court for mention.

Names of the deceased have been withheld until his next of kin have been notified. ENDS
