Good Hope councillors mourn colleague

Good Hope Sub-district councillors are mourning the death of specially elected councillor for Rakhuna ward, Ms Rebaone Mosidila, who died on May 18.
Speaking during the sub-council meeting this week, Good Hope Sub-council chairperson, Ms Maobene Molefhe described the deceased as outspoken with good leadership skills.
She said the sub-district has lost an icon who carried the responsibilities of the council diligently.
Ms Molefhe said they were with Ms Mosidila in a leadership meeting last week, and that there were no signs that she had any problems.
She also noted that the late councillor knew the standing orders of council and worked hard as the audit chairperson.
She was also the Good Hope Sub-council spokesperson at Botswana Association of Local Authorities (BALA).
She announced that they intended hosting a memorial service for the late councillor.
She also said they would end their council session on May 25, in order to pay their last respects to the deceased.
Good Hope Station Commander, Superintendent Mogomotsi Kwapa said they were investigating the cause of the death of Cllr Mosidila.
He said he received a report on May 18, that she was found unconscious inside her car in Kgoro.
The matter was reported to members of her family who rushed her to the hospital where she was certified dead. ENDS
