Siresi wins gold at South Africa competition

The man’s fitness and physique icon Ithueng Siresi, 24, scooped position one beating 16 contestants at South Africa’s Pretoria Classics under the Bermuda Model or Men’s Physique held over the weekend.
Speaking in an interview with BOPA, Siresi who also hold several gold medals from local fitness and physique competitions, said he prepared well adding that though the competition was tough he was fully prepared and had confidence that he will utilize and make his first international experience count.
He said the secret of his consecutive success is motivation and always aiming to improve his performance from the previous competitions and the being his own competition.
He also said he was working hard and preparing for his second international competition on the 31st of August and 1st of September at the South Africa’s Gauteng Provincial where he said he aims to add another gold medal to his collection.
The self-motivated Siresi said he started his journey in body building in 2015 but started competing in 2017 where he entered and won gold in all his entries under Men’s Physique in Designer Physique Classics 2017 and 2018, Mr. Botswana Man Physique, Kanye Summer Games, EKM Classic Bikini and Men’s Physique.
He said he made the sport his lifestyle to ensure strictness and commitment to diet and never misses his gym session which he said is made possible by the flexible gym hours where he said he sometimes trains at night to capitalize for his busy day schedule.
He added that he also does runaway modeling since 2015, which he said he was inspired by the outcome of his body building and has starred in fashion shows, product and brand promotions.
Furthermore to create awareness about body building, Siresi said he currently has a number of mentees who enrolled at his home gym and helps others through social media platforms by giving tips on health and wellness and fitness and physique in general.
Moreover he applauded Superfit Gym in Block 6 for their generous all expenses gym suite membership and their general input in his training sessions.
“We are competitive and eligible to make and raise the national flag internationally. I believe we have potential given the number of fellow countrymen I met at the competition. I then realized we can do better and outclass international athletes. We only need support and recognition like other sporting codes,” he lamented.
He implored possible sponsors to pledge their support indicating that beside his free gym membership he has sponsored and paid all his expenses including fees for his first international performance in South Africa from his varsity living allowance savings and will continue to invest but hopes for a sponsorship to relieve him of the financial strain.
