Mabutsane police are investigating an accident in which a 31-year-old Jwaneng Mine employee lost his life along the A20 road at Keng on Sunday afternoon.

The Station Commander, Superintendent Keitshokile Kebodiretswe said the deceased was driving alone in a Toyota Surf when it overturned after he failed to negotiate a curve. 

He said the driver, who originates from Makaleng in the North East, was found thrown outside the vehicle and was unfortunately certified dead on arrival at the hospital.

Still on the same day, a Maun-bound Toyota Rav 4 vehicle was reported to have overturned next to Kokong village junction along the Trans Kalahari Highway around 11am. 

Supt Kebodiretswe said the two occupants, who originate from Maun, sustained minor injuries and were treated at the Jwaneng Mine Hospital and discharged the same day. ENDS
