Tshane police are investigating the murder of a man aged between 19 and 22 years, who originates from Ngologa ward in Lehututu.

In an interview, Tshane Police Station commander, Superintendent Vusimuzi Jorowe, said they received a report from a passerby at around 3 am that a male body was found lying in a pool of blood by the road side at Lehututu

He said the body was taken to Hukuntsi Primary Hospital, where he was confirmed dead.

The incident happened on April 1.

According to Supt Jorowe, the young man had bodily wounds and they suspect that a sharp object could have been used to inflict such.

Although police investigations are at a preliminary stage, he said a young man in his early 20’s had been remanded in custody to assist the police with investigations.

Supt Jorowe said the relatives of the deceased had been notified while the body awaits post mortem.

Supt Jorowe also said police were investigating an accident involving two vehicles; a Toyota Hilux and Corolla which occurred on April 3 along the Hukuntsi-Kang road

He said the Corolla hit the Toyota hilux from behind and veered off the road and overturned.

He said nine passengers were in the Toyota Hilux while the corolla carried four passengers and all survived with minor injuries

Furthermore, he explained that three passengers, two children and an elderly from the Toyota hilux were still under the doctors’ observation at Hukuntsi Primary hospital.

He implored families to desist from travelling in one vehicle to avoid misfortunes whereby the whole family might perish in a road mishap as well as encouraging them to travel in vehicles with canopies.

The station commander also lauded Kgalagadi North constituents for their cooperation during the public holidays. ENDS
