Mingo Touch drops spiritually inspired album

Gaborone West’s self-acclaimed king of kwaito-kwasa, Aminoni Mujokeri, popularly known as Mingo Touch in his neighborhood, has managed to keep his head above muddy waters and drop a spiritually inspired album.

The long awaited gospel fused album titled It’s All About Jesus is set to be officially unveiled tomorrow at the scenic Molapo Stanbic Piazza.

The Tshaba tsotsi hit maker recently cut ties with his mentor, Vee Mampeezy’s record label, Black Money Makers.
Mingo is elated about his calling from God, which according to him, becomes stronger by day.

“This time I have accepted Jesus. I have accepted God.

A lot happened in the past.

My brother and I strongly believe God’s time is now,” said Mingo seemingly delighted by burying his odious past and focusing on a mission to establish a relationship with God.

He heaped praises on Pastor Felicity Chijena, who has been supportive in his dramatic entrance into the spiritual realm.

Mingo finally discovered the way to a meaningful life through this album.

His path into the gospel-inspired genre was buoyed by his recent performances at the international Loveworld Festival of Music and Arts, a Christian centred artistry of gospel extravaganza featuring the best of the best.

He shared the stage with renowned gospel artistes such as multi award-winning Nigerian gospel artiste, Osinachi Joseph-Kalu popularly known as Sinach, amongst others.

The event was attended by world renowned Nigerian Pastor, Chris Oyakhilome, founder of the Christ Embassy church.

Tomorrow Mingo is expected to perform alongside other gospel great locally in the mould of Bafana Pheto, affectionately known as Phempheretlhe, and Vusi, among others.

Vee Mampeezy will also grace the occasion and share the stage when Mingo performs Conquer alongside Dubblin of the chino mudana fame.

The eleven-track album has some good flowing kwaito kwasa hits such as Ke tuka mollo, which has been enjoying massive airplay in local radio stations.

Other songs to listen to are You alone and Kgosikgolo.

The gravel voiced artiste shot to fame with his impressive debut album, Tshaba tsotsi after being snapped up by Black Money Makers stable in 2005.

The album did exceptionally well enjoying massive airplay both on radio and Botswana Television music shows. Ends
