06 Mar 2018

Police have arrested six Batswana men and a Zimbabwean in connection with three different cases of possession of suspected stolen property.

A press release from Botswana Police Service says in one of the cases, two Batswana men aged 29 and 31, both of Mochudi, were found in possession of a computer and accessories in Mochudi.

The computer is linked to a case of breaking and theft that occurred at a local school in the village, states the release.

It says the duo was arrested in Mochudi on March 3.

In another incident, the release states that four Batswana men aged between 36 and 47 of Letlhakane were arrested at a police check point at Gamodubu after they were found in possession of copper cables suspected to have been stolen in Orapa.

The release also says a 32-year-old Zimbabwean man of Naledi in Gaborone was arrested after being found in possession of property that included cellular phones and accessories, bags and sunglasses.

It says the properties have been linked to two cases of robberies reported at Lobatse. ENDS
