Mochudi Rovers and Broadhurst United shared a point each as they met on Saturday at Rovers grounds in Mochudi.

The First Division South encounter pitied the two teams who want to gain more points to have a better position in the log and achieve their goal of plying their trade in the BTC Premier League.

The game could have swayed to either side as United had an upper hand in the first half while Rovers came back strong in the second half but failed to convert several chances they created to bury their opponents.

Rovers coach, Patrick Molefe said they missed many chances and that they had to go to the drawing board and work on the finishing to get more goals.

He said he was playing with young players who still had a lot to learn, and were not seasoned players but that he believes they had what it takes to earn the team more points.

Molefe said he was impressed with their performance against  United as the players showed more desire to play better and hold the ballm, but that he was only disappointed by the finishing.

He said the boys had shown more commitment, especially in the second leg of the season, and that his aim was to finish in the top four in the log, adding that  his team has what it takes to achieve that.

Coach Moseki Thebeemang of Broadhurst United rued the missed chances which could have earned them more points, but said he was happy to take a point home instead of losing all points.

He said the major problem they had was the finishing and that a lot of scoring chances were created, but that his strikers failed to convert clear chances.

Thebeemang said the lack of communication denied them goals, but that he was happy that his players had played well despite lack of training due to rainfall.

He said they would start to work on their finishing so that such opportunities could be utilised and put to good use.

The Rovers goalkeeper saved his team more than twice when his defenders committed mistakes that could have cost them three points, but he made brave saves to at least earn them a point.

Kagiso Matlou proved to be a hard nut to crack together with his defence despite the mistakes they made.

Midfielder Thuto Kgosimore was able to control the midfield with ease, and his ability to hold the ball and make accurate passes made the game entertaining.

Broadhurst United captain, Thatayaone Ndlovu proved to be a menace to the Rovers defence and despite missed chances, he gave them a hard time but his team failed to convert. ENDs
