Madantshane drops first single

18 Feb 2018

Godiraone ‘Madantshane’ Motshotlhi has released his first kwaito single, Sheba Phambile.

The single, which is produced by Flow More studio in Ramotswa is part of his long-awaited solo album, which is to be released in the near future.

Madantshane, as he is known in the music industry, started his music career in 2008 with Amacresh group, which last released its album, Terror town in 2010.

However, Madantshane said the group would soon make a comeback to the music industry, saying life complications forced them to go into different routes in search of opportunities.

Yet, they are still together and they will work on the same project in the not so distant future, adding that his love for music is pushing him to do a solo project.

He said he hoped the solo project would mark his return to the industry as well as launch his solo identity. “The whole album will be out around September if all go according to plans,” added Madantshane, who said his love for football and dancing earned him the moniker Madantshane.

While playing football, colleagues called him Dan, but the name changed to Madantshane on stage, as people started to appreciate his dancing skills and tried to link that with his football name.

Thirty-two-year-old, Ramotswa-based artiste stated that the single was already playing in some radio stations although it enjoys limited airplay, which was a concern.

“It is a good piece of work. I want people to appreciate kwaito again,” he added.

Madantshane said his love for kwaito music had made him to stick to the genre as he believed that there was more that kwaito could still offer to the entertainment industry.

The single comes along with its music video. “The industry is not easy at all.

It want people who are serious, people who do their research and package products well,” said Madantshane, who has already loaded Sheba Phambile video on YouTube. Ends
