Venasta releases double-single
07 Feb 2018
Twenty-year-old Jazz newbie, Tshepo Mokgethi aka Venasta believes that good music never gets old and always seems to stand the test of time.
It is for this reason that the Thamaga-born took a leap of faith and decided to switch from the House genre that he had been doing since 2012 and ventured into Jazz; a genre he believes offers a special kind of music that never gets old.
He performs this type of music in his double-single dubbed Botlhaba and Lorato from his upcoming album to be released after winter.
With February being the month of love where people remember and emphasise the importance of love in their lives, the singles could not have come at a better time as both songs are dedicated to lovers and are meant to celebrate love.
In an interview with BOPA, Venasta explained that the message behind the songs advocates for everything that stands for love and pushes for people to take love seriously especially nowadays since cases of divorce are increasing at an alarming rate.
He believes that there can never be too much love in the world and there will always be people falling in love and that should be celebrated hence his songs are about love.
Fans have a lot to enjoy from Botlhaba and Lorato as the songs possess strong and good melody that will certainly touch their hearts and incite more feelings of love towards their partners.
While Venasta sings, his catchy lyrics and soft melodies of the songs resonate well with the backing vocals of Perion and Ivon who did exceptional work on the songs.
The songs are produced by Suffocate and recorded at Roc Lefatshe studios.
Joseph Masamba plays the guitar on the Lorato track while Kuzere plays it on Botlhaba. ENDS
