Police make multiple arrests

Police have arrested four men aged between 29 and 38 years of Tsolamosese for possession of stolen property.

A press release from Botswana Police Service says the quartet; two Zimbabweans and two Batswana were arrested in Gaborone during the ongoing police operations.

The suspects were found in possession of two 5 000 litres and one 10 000 litres water tanks, manhole covers and other plumbing materials.

It further says in Mogoditshane, a 24-year-old Motswana man of Gabane and a Zimbabwean man aged 35 residing in Gabane, were arrested after they were found in possession of a plasma television set suspected to be stolen and the suspects have been detained for further investigations.

Meanwhile, four Batswana men aged between 20 and 32 years were arrested for possession of a green substance suspected to be dagga in two separate incidents and the suspects were arrested at Ledumadumane ward in Mogoditshane and Molepolole.

The release further says in another incident, a 45-year-old man of Partial in Gaborone was found in possession of a white substance suspected to be cocaine and is in police custody pending investigations. ENDS
