Police investigate shooting incident

Police in Lobatse are investigating a case in which a 27-year-old man of Cresant location was found dead with suspected bullet wounds.
A statement from the Botswana Police Service states that preliminary police investigations reveal that the deceased should have been shot by a 47-year-old man, who is still at large.
It says a 27-year-old woman of Lobatse, who is said to be the suspect’s girlfriend, is assisting the police with investigations.
Meanwhile, a shotgun and four live rounds were seized from the woman as exhibits.
The statement further says in Broadhurst, the police have arrested a 52-year-old Korean man who was found in possession of suspected stolen property.
The suspect was in possession of copper cables he could not account for.
Still in Gaborone, the police have arrested four men aged between 19 and 26 years in connection with a case of office break-in and theft at a church in Gaborone in which property valued at over P10 000 and cash amounting to P17 000 was stolen this past Friday.
The Police managed to recover some of the stolen property from the suspects.ENDS
