MP encourages business community to support talent

Member of Parliament for Francistown East, Buti Billy has urged Francistown business community to help grow and support talent.
Speaking at the Northern Arts awards ceremony over the weekend, Billy implored the business community to help fund the event to be greater that it had been doing.
By funding the event, he said they would be helping to provide a conducive environment that could showcase talents.
Billy also implored the media to help grow the event into a household event through positive reviews and critiques.
One of the guests who graced the event from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe Risdon Baya of Ntwasa noted that artistes in Botswana and Zimbabwe faced the same challenges in the industry as the locals supported artistes from foreign countries rather than their own.
He urged stakeholders to support the local talent because with their support, they could be successful in the industry.
Earlier in his welcome remarks Francistown West MP, Ignatius Moswaane applauded the district youth office for its continuous dedication.
Meanwhile, the sensational comedian known as Tamabrown walked away with best comedian award whereas the former MC Maswe dancer known as Beauty Queens and kings scooped the best upcoming artist award. ENDS
