Palapye police are appealing to the public to help with information that could lead to the arrest of robbers who broke into Shoppers Supermarket and made away with more than P200 000 cash.

Palapye Police officer in charge CID, Mr Kebonye Kudumane told BOPA that the incident occurred on November 25 night after the culprits cut the corrugated iron roof and forced entry into the supermarket.

Upon gaining entry into the super market, he said the robbers proceeded to blast open the safe with the use of explosives and made away with more than P200 000 cash.

However, on the same night, Mr Kudumane said the robbers had also forced  entry into Bamangwato Spar Supermarket but did not steal anything and investigations on the matter continue.

Meanwhile, police are also investigating a case in which a 40 year-old Palapye woman stabbed a man with a sharp object at Serorome Ward in Palapye.

The man was certified dead on arrival at Palapye Primary hospital.

Mr Kudumane said the two who were alleged to be in a relationship had a misunderstanding.
