 A 36-year-old man of West Hananhai, Ntcubi Tsao was arraigned before Ghanzi magistrate court on a single count of murder recently.

Tsao, accused of murdering Ms Janet Xhigae on November 3 2017 near West Hanahai was arrested on November 12, 2017.

Appearing before Senior Magistrate, Mr  Thapelo Buang, he  told the court that he has nothing to say except expressing the wish to seek the services of an attorney to represent him in the matter.

The investigating officer in the case, Inspector Patrick Garenamotse pleaded with the court to remand the accused person in custody as the investigations are still at an initial stage.

He said they have not yet recovered the weapon used by the accused to commit the crime.

Inspector Garenamotse further stated that the accused has been on the run for the past 10 days after committing the offence, saying that he was arrested on the 12th November while he committed the offence on November 3 , 2017.

Also, he said the accused is not safe if granted bail. Senior magistrate Buang denied the accused bail considering reasons brought by investigating officer and set November 28  as the next mention date.ENDS
