Knockduff Farm opens to public
23 Oct 2017
Knockduff Farm, situated a few kilometres north of Lobatse and 55 kilometres south of Gaborone along the A1 road is now open to the public.
The establishment is an addition to entertainment spots in Lobatse, only it offers exclusive private settings in a tranquil garden of tress and green lawns.
Appreciating the venue recently, Councillor Themba Setimela said Knockduff Farm would provide an alternative to the community for when they wished to unwind.
He said with rigorous marketing, the place had potential to boost the town’s economy, especially the entertainment sector and provide a platform for entertainment and tourism in the town.
Lobatse resident, Rianah Motsise said the venue was a nice escape from the usually congested pubs, especially on a Sunday afternoon.
She said it was rare to find a place like Knockduff where one could relax in such quietude.
Food, hospitality and tourism consultant, Nina Hamid praised the owners saying the place was a good venture, especially now with demand for entertainment and hospitality activities.
She said it could serve as a venue for jazz events, exhibitions gatherings, adding that it would contribute to the growth of Lobatse entertainment.
Knockduff Farm, owned by the Swartland family, is an ideal place for anyone who fancies a quiet, chilled relaxation away from town.
Its facilities include a swimming pool, ablutions, spacious purpose built kitchen with indoor and outdoor cooking facilities.
It is also home to Otse Soul Sundays event, which stages every month with a live band and fun activities for children. ENDS
