Facebeat Divas studio defines make-up

Make-up is an important aspect of beauty and is embraced worldwide regardless of culture, race and social standing.
Facebeat Divas Studio managing director, Tebogo Makabe, 28, states in an interview with BOPA that to create a polished and powerful bow and smoky eyes, one turns up the smoulder with gel eyeliner, metallic shadows and some shine on skin.
She asserts that the perfect bridal make-up recipe is radiant skin, flirty smoky eyes and a bold pout.
“A glowing coverage plus dewy highlights always work best after applying a sheer foundation, blend illuminator onto cheekbones, nose and cupid bow,” she noted.
But the error that people make with make-up is with the use of a high lighter.
Makabe says a high lighter is one of those tricky products that are easy to get wrong and if it is applied too light, one risks a whitish or silvery effect.
She advises that knowing make-up choices is critical to a successful make-up result and one has to pick their high lighters according to their skin tone.
The skin would glow after applying the high lighter right at the highest point of the cheeks for a little shimmer when lights hit the skin, she noted.
“But make no mistake, foundation and concealers take skin from rusty to glowing,” she said.
Despite Facebeat Divas studios being a relatively small company deep in the beauty and make-up industry, led solely by Makabe, it has attracted a lot of interests from beauty fanatics who throng her business for some quality make-up.
The youthful business woman and a married mother of two carry her business passion with high standards.
She has studied at a make-up school and acquired a Certificate in Health and Beauty Therapy.
Apart from that, she has been passionate about make-up and beauty from way back as a child.
Makabe recalls that growing up in her teens, she often made sure she bought make-up kit whenever she went shopping.
“When I got married, many people came to me and told me how my make-up had been articulately done and asked for contacts of my make-up artists, but were shocked to learn that I did my own make-up,” she said.
She was encouraged to start her own business, adding that ‘it is something I will never regret pursuing.’
To show her seriousness in the beauty industry, Makabe’s company has its own cosmetic products, a foundation in three shades being light, medium and dark.
It also conducts regular make-up workshops around the country, which are often well attended.
She has plans to conduct some workshops online for those who are interested.
