Entertainment industry came together to celebrate music

29 Sep 2017

The entertainment industry came together to celebrate good music and witness the premiere of Veevo View official music video for ‘ZAKA’.

The red carpet event was well organised and planed, and also started on time. Just about a month back South Africa artist and producer, Leslie Mampe, better known by his stage name Da L.E.S, from his early success with his band, Jozi, and is most known for his solo single, Heaven had said while in Botswana on Tshephang ‘T-Izzy’ Motsisi’s show on Yarona FM, that Batswana musicians were exceptionally talented and a force to reckon with.

Da L.E.S mentioned Veezo View being of great talent and someone he would love to work with him and feature in his songs.

Veezo View has shown consistency throughout his music career and keeps reaching for greater heights.

He certainly has set the standards high with his video for ‘ZAKA’ as it is different and has never been done before by an artist in Botswana.

The video has given other artists a run for their money. The song is amazing from the beats, layering to the quality, a reason for the video to match it.

It is of international standards and shows how passionate and professional Veezo View is.

It is without doubt a well compiled product that will compete well internationally as well as take the music industry to greater heights.

The music industry has grown tremendously and the world should watch out because Veezo View is not here to play.

Veezo View was academically exceptional and did well, but followed his heart into music with the support of his family.

He had a dream and his family believed in it. Many from the entertainment industry also came to show their support for growing talent.

Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sport  and Culture Development, director of youth, Mr Lawrence Ookeditse said music was a beautiful thing that nurtured the God given talent, and that it would never fade and also speaks to wealth and luxury.

“We are at a point in this country where the youth each and every time are showing what they are destined for,” he said.

Ookeditse stated that with the amount of talent artist had, with a little bit of support they could go a long way. He added that with promoters by their side, they would stay grounded and realise that it was important to perfect their skills and talent in order to release quality music.

He said it was amazing how one could take time and perfect their craft by putting in effort, adding that it showed how capable we were as a country and could match the best in the world.

He said it was their business as a ministry to ensure that young people got to be wealthy and got to have luxury through doing what they loved and were passionate about.

“We have been too shy to make money, but now it is time for the new generation to make money, and for them to do so they need those able to invest in them and sponsor them,” he said.

Ookeditse vowed to play his part and book Veezo View at events they hosted in order to contribute to his growth, not just because he was an artist but because he had a great product worth supporting.

He urged musicians to carry on creating amazing products in order to take the country places as other resources depleted. He noted that their talents, voices, thoughtfulness and creativity would keep growing, and that was what the country needed.

Ookeditse   applauded  Zenzele Hirschfeld for helping lay down the foundation for upcoming artist and giving them a platform to show their talent to the nation and world at large.

For her part, Hirschfeld urged for cooperation among artists as the younger generation were not going anywhere as they were creative and work day and night to perfect their craft.

She applauded parents that continued to trust her with their children’s careers and understanding her vision for their children.

She stated that the youth were changing the game and pushing for greatness, and that they were going to raise the country to greater heights.

She thanked Baanthata Mokgwathi, known by his stage name Ban-T of the hit Naomi that had hit the waves last year for convincing her to bring back her company ‘Zen Promotions’ in 2016 because she would have never got the chance to work with amazing and great artist like Veezo View if he had not convinced her.

Zenzele has managed to become a successful woman who managed to prevail in an industry that is brutal to the light hearted. Through her company ‘Zen Promotions’ she manages music stars and promotes their brands. ENDS
