 Mochudi Police are investigating a murder case in which a 28 -year-old man has killed a 35-year-old woman at a farm in Malotwane near Mochudi.

Mochudi police station commander, Supt Olebile Sitale said the incident took place on Monday and the man handed himself over to Malotwane police after committing the crime.

Supt Sitale said the police went to the woman’s place and found her lying in a pool of blood and police were suspecting that something sharp might have been used.

He said the suspect originate from Mabuo village, while the woman was from Artesia.

He said it  was reported that the two were lovers.

The station commander said police  investigations were ongoing, adding that the accused would appear before Mochudi Magistrate Court to answer for charges of murder.

Supt Sitale said they were worried about the escalating murder cases in Kgatleng as already 11 cases had been registered with four months remaining before end of year compared to 13 registered last year.

He urged Batswana to resolve their misunderstandings amicably or engage others for help to avoid loss of life. ENDS
