Rebagang clinches Miss RADP crown

Oaitse Rebagang who hails from Makgaba has scooped Miss RADP for Boteti Sub-district snatching P5 000 prize money or goods worth same amount.

Rebagang, 24, set a much higher standard during the cultural attire parade with her beautifully made print adorned with a white lace on the top part.

She made a good presentation demonstrating how she makes traditional make-up foundation from letsoku.

Complemented by her natural beauty, the light skinned Rebagago elevated the standard higher with a beautifully designed black dress adorned with silver glitters and paired with exquisite silver stilletos.

Her elegant dress flowed well with her slim-figure and had its uniqueness from the rest of designs combined with a stunning sleeve design which had a lace overlay.

She took control of the ramp commanding attention from the audience with her confidence and beauty showcasing talent.

She managed to remain at peak level as she noted that she would gather the youth of Makgaba and educate them on the negative impacts of alcoholism working in conjuction with village leadership, if she won the title.

She was followed by Bamponye Gotshwenyamang of Khwee and Kemofetswemang Badiri who took the title of first princess and second princess respectively.

The representative from Orapa, Letlhakane and Damtshaa mines, Ketsile Molokomme said the purpose of the beauty contest was to unearth natural beauty and talent.

She said it was intended to bridge the gap between remote area communities and other villages.

She cautioned the youth against teenage pregnancy, calling on the leadership to bring positive changes that could impact significantly in their lives.

She noted it was essential to model great leadership that children could follow, adding that there was need to establish means in which children could enhance their lives further.

Molokomme implored attendants to support beauty queens to succeed to national level.

Assistant council secretary, Ndidza Molatole said the objectives of Miss RADP was to promote equal opportunities to RADS communities and empower them.

She reiterated that it was intended to bridge the gap between remote area communities and other villages. ENDS
