Elvivos Phomelela hits shelves

One of Botswana upcoming house artistes, Omphile Moela famously known as Elvivo has released a music album titled Phomelela.
The six-tracked album takes off with a track called Phomelela meaning persistence in English.
He said in an interview that track one song Phomelela encourages music artistes to remain persistent in their career despite challenges and critics they sometimes face.
Other songs includes Elvivo, MVA fund, PMTCT, Skim Sam and Tumiso.
“The album was composed and produced by Elvivo,” he said.
He added that it was recorded at VGK studio in Bobonong.
The 28-year-old Bobonong born narrated that his music career started in 2011.
He said his big inspiration into the music industry comes from prominent and the people’s favourite artiste Vee.
Elvivo said Vee was one of the artistes who had inspired him and proved that one can still be something in life without high school qualification, and God given talent can take one’s life to cloud nine.
“The album is currently doing well in the market and it has already received air play on Radio Botswana, Yarona and Duma FM,” he continued.
“Music is my full time job and I also do performances at parties, wedding and baby showers”, he said.
Elvivo noted that in future he would like to see his songs being played outside Botswana.
He said piracy was a big challenge faced by artistes in Botswana, but he is also happy with the work done by Copyright Society of Botswana in protecting work of artistes. ENDS
