18 Jun 2017

Miss Ramotswa Project team has shown appreciation for the elderly by donating groceries to Re fa ka Bone Caring Centre, in Ramotswa.

Speaking during the donation on Friday, Miss Ramotswa coordinator, Olerato Thobega said taking part in community social responsibility projects formed part of the core values and aspirations of the project.

She said Miss Ramotswa was a non-profit making organisation that started last year with the motive of scouting and nurturing talent among young people in Ramotswa.

She added that Miss Ramotswa also created a platform for young girls to participate in Miss Botswana competitions with confidence.

“The project therefore is more than talent based, as we seek to raise awareness for Re fa ka Bone Caring Centre, which is focused on caring for the well-being of elderly people,” stated Thobega.

The organisation according to Thobega has been conducting motivational talks in schools since beginning of the year

She however, stated that they were faced with financial challenges thus limiting their humanitarian efforts.

Miss Ramotswa 2017, Mosa Balesamang said the beauty of a person should be seen in their works.

“A gift that is from the heart is immeasurable,” she said.

The 22 year old said everybody could offer something to help change another person’s life.

She said it was important for the youth to be empowered for them to make a difference in society. BOPA
