Woman in custody for stabbing partner

Police in Nata are holding a 38-year-old woman of Mmadinoga cattle post in custody in connection with the stabbing of her partner.
Speaking in an interview with Nata police assistant superintendent, Phetogo Phillimon said the woman allegedly stabbed her 28-year-old partner with a knife on the stomach following a misunderstanding.
The victim is said to have called for help and the neighbours came to his aid and rushed him to Nata clinic where he was later transferred to Nyangabwe referral hospital in Francistown.
Assistant superintendent Phillimon further added that the investigations were ongoing while the complainant is still in hospital and the woman might be charged for causing grievous bodily harm.
Meanwhile he also said they were investigating a case of assault common in Zoroga where a 22-year-old man will appear before Nata magistrate court for assaulting his 18-year-old girlfriend and sister.
In another incident two men also of Zoroga are facing a charge of use of insulting words and malicious damage to property of Zoroga school teacher who had engaged them to fetch water for him on agreement he will thereafter pay them.
After a delay to pay them the two men are alleged to have charged at him with insulting words and caused damage to his teachers’ quarters house. ENDS
