There is no doubt that one of the best musicians that the country has ever produced is Lizibo Simon, given his immense talent.

He cut his teeth in the music industry in 2012 when he released an album titled, Better Man.

The Zwenshambe-born star currently has two albums under his belt, while his sophomore dubbed, Malebeswa was released in February this year.

In an interview, the Simple Kalanga Dude (SKD) as he is affectionately called by his fans, said Malebeswa had been well received by many Batswana.

The humble and talented musician who takes pride in his culture and country said currently he was an independent artist not signed to any record label, but under the production of Hi-Note run by renowned Tshepo Lesole.

Lizibo also noted that he was an all-round musician who learns something new every day ranging from all types of genres,  while he is Afro Pop musician.

He further expressed his all-time interest in playing instruments, as he usually plays a little bit of keyboard and was open to learning other instruments.

“I have been blessed to have collaborated with the best producer in Botswana in my view, such as Tshepo Lesole. I have also called on legendary Ndingo Jowa, Sasa Klass, Sadi Dikgaka and Mosako to share my story telling with,” he said.

Furthermore, Lizibo spoke highly of his cousin Martin ‘Sounds’ Mabutho, who was a member of the all-time local legendary 90’s group, Tribal Monks, who inspired his music career.

The pint-sized artiste has achieved a lot in his music career.

He is a BOMU 2013 multiple award winner, scooping the Best Newcomer, Best Afro Pop and Best Male.

The musician also has a lot of business interests outside music.

 He is about to venture into the fashion world, TV and cooking show and is excited to grow the Lizibo brand.

“To all those aspiring to become self-made people, the secret is to never stop learning and always observe your surroundings,  because where there seems to be no opportunities, you will be better placed to create your own opportunity,” he said. ENDS
