Black E drops Palamonwana

Black E,  also known as Ikotlhaeng Tlhapi from Charleshill has released a new Afro Hip Hop single titled,  Palamonwana.
In an interview, he said the single was a wedding song, which promoted love, respect and communication.
Black E said the single was produced by Peter Gape Collush of Lush Lyf Time Records and it had an African touch to it.  
Black E is not new to the music scene.


He used to sing at church as at one stage, he was a devoted member of the Zion Christian Church (ZCC) and used to perform during talent shows at school.
He also pointed out that his love for music from a young age made him compromise his studies for as he did not do well in his BGCSE.
In 2008, he released an album titled, Through Thick and Thin which comprised of six tracks. Some of the tracks included Dear Mama, Hands Up, I love you  and Hauhela hle Morena.


He noted that the album, which he recorded with savings from his past job as a security supervisor in one of the security companies did not do well in the market as he did not maximally distribute it.
Black E, who once shared stage with some of the well-established local artistes such Kast, Scar, Touch, Apollo Diablo, Zeus said that he got inspiration from Drake, A.T.I, P-Square and Davido.
He highlighted that as musicians, they had challenges such as piracy and many others.
Nevertheless, he was optimistic that having relocated from his home village to Molepolole would bring something positive out of his career. ENDS
