Duo finds solace in music

17 Apr 2017

Tough times befall all of us. The only difference is how we respond.

This is the situation that 23-year-olds Kago Morokane and Goitsone Sammidi found themselves in after their not so pleasing BGCSE results. And it is their response that brought all the differences to their story.

The naughty boys, as they were known to be during their school days, were part of dance crews, the most fashionable and adorable hobby of youngsters today.

After failing their BGCSE and with fewer prospects for the future, they decided to follow their music journey to make something of their lives.

In 2014, they formed Tswak-vellas kwaito group and released Re masisi single produced by Dj Flow of Flow-Mo records in Ramotswa.

Inspired by other local acts, Tswak-vellas worked hard to make it in the game and this entailed performing in  concerts to promote and grow their brand.

Apart from their music career, Kago has a fulltime job while  while Goitsone is only focusing on music.

The Re masisi hit makers are currently in the studio working on their first album titled This Life which is set to be released November,

“The title of our album is inspired by the journey of life, both good and bad times,” explained Kago. BOPA
