Councillor Mosimanegape discharged

Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) councillor for Lotlhakane East, Mr Patrick Mosimanegape was discharged and acquitted before Kanye Magistrate’s Court after he had made payments to the plaintiff.
Councillor Mosimanegape appeared before court on February 24 for obtaining money by false pretence contrary to section 308 of the penal code.
He was accused of intentions to defraud without claim of right from a company named FOS.
He was alleged to have fraudulently obtained P3 000 from Mr Joseph Thobiso by pretending to be a deputy sheriff who was to render services for FOS. ENDS
