He said the deceased who originate from Francistown are aged 37, 36 and 35.

He said the deceased were travelling from the western direction to the east. Meanwhile, in Tonota, Superintendent Kenanao Badumetse said two women aged 39 and 26 were certified dead on arrival at Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital (NRH) after a combi they were travelling in with nine others overturned in Semotswane on Saturday around 330am.

He said the vehicle was from Mandunyane village joining the A1 road.  He said another passenger, also a woman, was admitted at NRH with serious injuries while the other eight occupants of the combi were treated for minor injuries. He said the deceased originated from Mandunyane.

On other issues, Supt Badumetse said although Tonota was busy because it hosted the Thapelo Olopeng Foundation choir competitions, no incidents were recorded.

At Kutlwano police, Assistant Superintendent David Ramoseki appealed to the public to assist in searching for relatives of a middle aged man who died on Sunday.

He said according to the eye witness the man collapsed after parking a vehicle and was certified dead on arrival at the hospital. ASP Ramoseki said two cases of burglary were reported over the weekend and a plasma television was stolen in each.

He appealed to the public to always notify neighbours when they go away and avoid using transparent curtains.

He said in the two incidents, victims left their houses for few hours only to find their television stolen when they returned. ENDS
