Shadamera eyes international studios

A trio made of Molepolole youngsters named Isaac Motlhobogwa, Tlhagiso Ikaneng and Boyson Simane who in the music industry trade by the stage name Shadamera is ambitious of producing international music to help grow Botswana’s local music and also help the country get recognition.
The trio that produces a mixture of genres including afro-pop, house kwasa, kwaito among others revealed this in an interview. They said that though they have a lot of challenges in their profession such as inadequate funds, they however intend to face those challenges and penetrate international scenes with their music.
Just recently they released a Zambian tune called Dakatendereka, in which they have collaborated with a well-established local music group Flexyville. They said that the single is about going from place to place searching for love.
Shadamera said they are hopeful that the song will do much better than their first album that was released in 2015, since they have featured a well-established group.
They noted that they learnt a lot from the collaboration additionally saying this was not their last collaboration as they intend to feature other music artistes including A.T.I, Vee and Dramaboy in future.
Shadamera is not new to the music industry, after first meeting at school functions when they were still schooling and later forming a music group, the group has one album at the moment called Boela Khaya. The album talks more about reality situations, marriage wrecking, alcohol abuse and many other life challenges.
Some of the tracks in their first album include Boela Khaya, Face to face, Sthandwa sam and Shake your body among others.
The album, the trio said was recorded with savings from their past jobs as electricians for a company in Gaborone and proceeds from their performances during school events such as prize giving and social events such as weddings and parties. The trio has admitted that there are challenges in the music industry just like in any other profession, saying for first timers they need to have passion, determination and patience, as that is a complete package needed for one to go a long way in the music industry.
They said money is a bonus as one should be ready to struggle on a daily basis without having money. ENDS
