Kaso reaches his peers through music

26 Mar 2017

Twenty-six year old Obokeng Kaso has found music not only a means of survival  but rather a way to motivate his fellow youth  on how to make hay while it still shines because one lives only once.
Kaso, who reaches his peers through music after observing that everyone nowadays tunes to music, found it fitting to send his inspiring message through music.
He said music soothes souls therefore important to people in today’s societies, noting that crafting music was part of what makes humans human. Kaso has so far made music intimately related to society, which reflects and creates social conditions.
Kaso said music fills the soul with all sorts of memories and feelings when the tune plays, adding that one can say his charisma is derived from his reaction to difficulty and how he uses every experience as a stepping stone to reach the top.
The Shakawe native, who goes by the name Aubzarda in music circles, says his roots in a rural area has always aspired him to become a unique and prominent figure to show rural dwellers that anyone can be what they want despite neither background nor location.
He can testify that his never say die spirit coupled with patience, enthusiasm and determination finally paid off as he was now roaring in all corners of the country.
Kaso says he caters for all classes as he uses local languages such as his mother tongue Sehambukushu, Setswana and English in his songs, in that way everyone is accommodated.
Kaso like other artists encounters a number of challenges however that never shuts his dream, instead they strengthens and motivates him to work extra hard.
The enthusiastic Afro house star fell in love with music at a tender age and has always produced songs about life, its challenges and how to beat them. He says his fans tell him that his music always motivated them to follow their dreams like he did.
The feedback from his supporters has motivated him to produce more quality hits accompanied by strong messages to transform other youth’s behaviour.
He recalls his secondary school days when he was studying music subject, where he gave his music teacher a hard time in learning how to follow the beat, composing, learning a guitar, noting  however that the struggle and experience had groomed him to an unshaken artist.
Kaso says his road to where he is now was very long and hard but he honours the shinny armor he once met which assisted him and managed to drop his first single in 2014 which was recorded at Roc Lefatshe Records in Gaborone.
However he prides himself and thankful to local programmes like My African Dream, Flava Dome and Mokaragana for promoting his music while not forgetting God for the talent . He said he got lined up for many charity performances last year during the festive season around Botswana and Namibia. His tracks like Ngoma also featured in local radio stations such as RB1 and RB2 which he said was a blessing. ENDS
