23 Mar 2017

Thamaga-born Noah Mogorosakgomo, commonly known in the music circles as Bro Noah, will soon release a new House-Gospel single titled Kepholositswe in which he has collaborated with well-established local gospel artiste Suggie Fisher.

In an interview ,the young artiste said he was hopeful that their collaboration would widen the scope of his audience.

Bro Noah further disclosed that featuring the popular gospel artiste had given the track a unique taste in terms of vocals and sound.

He said the track 's message  was that most often people preached the gospel without necessarily having repented themselves  saying people should be assisted to seek God before everything else.

Bro Noah is not a novice in the music industry as he has two albums under his belt. He released his first gospel album in 2010 titled Mkhululi Wethu meaning Our Deliverer which has 12 tracks.

He said his first album did not do well as he did not satisfactorily market it.

Some of the tracks in his first album include Dumelang Metswalle, No other way to heaven, I will follow, Tshwarelo Melato and Mkhululi Wethu among others.

He noted that his second album named Exodus 20 was released in 2012 and included tracks such as Glorify, Thato ya gago, Hamba Nathi, Siya Vuma, Ngiyamthanda, among others.

Bro Noah expressed his love for music from way back while still schooling as he was a member of the popular Scripture Union club in schools.

He further said he was the lead singer of their church choir that of Head Mountain of God and also the lead singer of a national choir named Zion Singers then recording three albums with the group before he went solo.

The young artiste noted that his love for gospel music was inspired by Sechaba Padi of South Africa saying although he is one of the best gospel singers he remains humble.

He also noted that he sings in different languages being Setswana, Zulu and English, saying  by using different languages in his singing he caters for a wider audience.

He noted that since his first album did not do well he has hope that the two albums will pick sales as he now market and distribute them as he is now into music promotions and distribution.

Bro Noah has made appearances in corporate events, school prize givings and concerts.

In recording the two albums he said he struggled financially hence he raised funds through his appearances in shows and also funded the two projects from his own pocket.

He has encouraged the locals to buy local music so as to promote local artistes.

He said through his music he encourages the youth to shun criminal activities and seek God so that whatever they desire falls into place.

His advice to aspiring artistes is that music is a hassle, and so one has to have patience and passion and only then would  they go a long way and reap the rewards thereafter. ENDS
