Sejelo police are investigating an incident in which a 40-year-old woman was found dead behindStamina Butchery in Kanye on March 18 at night.

Police Station commander, Superintendent Sello Ntwaagae confirmed in an interview with BOPA adding that investigations on the matter were still ongoing.

He said there was very little to shed light on what might have caused her death and they were awaiting post-mortem results from the Kanye Seventh Day Adventist Hospital (SDAH).

“Her lifeless body was spotted by a butchery owner who was resuming duty on Sunday morning,” Supt. Ntwaagae said.

He also revealed that the deceased who hailed from Mochudi, worked at Mathiba Junior School in Kanye as a grounds lady.

Still in Kanye, police are investigating a case in which a 56-year-old woman was hit to death by a car next to the Saverite Supermarket.

He said the incident happened on March 15 around 8pm, adding that her body was still at the SDAH awaiting a post-mortem. ENDS
