BDP councillor appears in court

Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) councillor for Lotlhakane West, Mr Patrick Mosimanegape aged 33 appeared before Kanye Magistrate court for obtaining money by false pretence contrary to section 308 of the penal code.
Particulars of offence are that the accused person in February 2016 in Kanye, with intention to defraud and without claim of right from a company named FOS, fraudulently obtained money from Mr Joseph Thobiso by receiving the sum of P3 000 pretending to be a deputy sheriff who to render services for FOS.
The accused pleaded not guilty and was ordered to appear before court on April 4 for mention.
The case was prosecuted by Mr Victor Chabanga from DPP while Magistrate Bame Ngaka presided over the matter. ENDS
