Tween release Friday
26 Feb 2017
Aspiring and upcoming artistes, Tween Brothers have released a house track single titled Friday.
Tween Borthers are a music pair featuring Michael Motlalepula and Nicholas Mokoka of Shashe Bridge village.
In an interview with BOPA Motlalepula, who goes by the sobriquet ‘Juzzy J Rap Mike’ said the single was their first offering and hoped would open doors for them.
“So far we have had great feedback from our fans, considering the little performances we have done,” he said.
He narrated their story as that of humble beginnings from a small village in the Tati East constituency back in 2008 when he and Mokoka or ‘Las Mok’ in the music circle started out.
The duo was to later part ways when both went the employment route and ceased pursuing their aspirations.
While in Maun, Juzzy says he wrote Kwaito music, while Las Monk was introduced to house music in Gaborone.
“We have been involved in music since then and we developed a love for house music, which led to the release of our first work,” he explained.
Juzzy said Friday was a dance piece, hence the name Friday, a day loved by night crawlers.
The track was produced by Emjoe records in Block 5.
He hopes the track will sell their brand and introduce them to new fans.
Besides Friday, Juzzy says they are working on another album. ENDS
