Suspect undergoes psychiatric evaluation

A suspect in a case involving the murder of a three-year-old boy at Francistown’s Area S is reportedly undergoing psychiatric medical evaluation at an undisclosed medical centre.
The 17-year-old young woman had been helping the police with investigations after causing grievous bodily harm to the young boy, who succumbed to the injuries.
In an interview, central police station commander, Superintendent Lebalang Maniki stated that the suspect had not yet been set for court mention, but was still undergoing assessment as was not yet of age to represent herself in a court of law.
Another similar case in which a young man of an undisclosed age was accused of attempting to attack a minor with a spade, but missed, is currently before the courts. BOPA
