Miss Independence Kgatleng motivates pupils

Miss Independence Kgatleng, Tshepo Nthaga says her reign has been of utmost importance.
She said in an interview that the experience turned her into a confident and virtuous woman.
The ambitious young woman explained how her educational background inspired her to do more for the community
Nthaga said her project focused on educational motivational talks and provided tutoring to three schools in Mochudi being Sedibelo and Linchwe junior schools as well as Molefi Senior Secondary School.
She said they did a lot last year visiting most schools in Kgatleng including Borwa, Radikolo and Linchwe.
She further said she had since met with Molefi students during their boot camp last year and to her surprise the students were much more interested in her services.
Though some did not come for free tutoring after the motivational talk, she believed the students would come at a later stage.
Ms Nthaga said she mentored two students who came for assistance after her visitation and expecting one more to join them.
In her quest for academic excellence, the queen mentioned that she is working with one of her dear friends Tebo Kaelo, who shares the same passion with her to improve effectiveness in her project.Faced with lots of challenges as she deals with students, Nthaga said she has learnt to be patient.
She said she is a persistent person and visist the schools all the time for progress and has since had some teachers help her discover students to assist.She noted lack of communication between her and some schools as they have not delivered their promises but she is still hopeful of the outcome.
Nthaga said though the journey has been fun, tackling school and her roles as the queen has not been easy. ENDS
