Muscle finds solace in gospel music

Former renowned dancehall artist, One Muscle says his transition from the genre to gospel music has been working out quite well since he released his first gospel album in 2010 after doing dancehall for at least five years .
As a prove that his gospel music is really putting him at the peak of his music career, Muscle who now uses his real name, One Masele has since released his sixth studio album titled Sefapaano 6; Goliata.
The album, which was released late last year has eight songs including tracks like Goliata, Kwana ya Modimo and Galaletsa.
“In this album I have catered for both Christians and non-believers, all the songs are about gospel but different instrumental genres were used so everyone can enjoy the music, he said.
He further said music had the power to transform lives that is why he decided to do gospel to reach out to people so they could change their mindsets and maybe turn to God like he did.
He said he used rhumba beats on the fifth track on his album ,Galaletsa and house beats on another titled, Wena lefika laaka to attract attention of those who do not visit church and hardly listen to gospel music.
“There is also Goliatha, which is the title track of the album which speaks of when David defeated Goliath reminding people that with God by your side victory is inevitable.
The singer, producer and keyboard player said he was inspired by musicians like Otlogetswe Mosekwa and Derrick Nzimande and was honoured to have previously shared the stage with the two.
He explained that since he started doing gospel music in 2010 he had traversed the whole country marketing his album and has previously performed at renowned prophet Uebert Angel’s Spirit Embassy Church in Zimbabwe back in 2012.
He started his singing in career in 2005 and used to be one of the top dancehall musicians in the country having walked away with at least two BOMU awards for two of his albums.
He released his first gospel album, Sefapaano 1 in 2012 after being born again. ENDS
