Ga Maila Festive Meltdown success
04 Jan 2017
The third edition of Ga Maila Festive Meltdown has left long lasting impressions to the night crawlers as South African heavy weights and local artistes battled for supremacy.
On arrival at the event it was obvious for merrymakers that the event was well organised as from the onset security was of a very high standard.
Inside Ga Maila Outdoor Arena, carousers were spoilt or choice with music and state-of-the-art facilities, including mini picnic sites, among others.
The stage, sound and lighting were something out of this world, which propelled musicians to give their best.
Local hip-hop songbirds, MMP Family, Mosako, T.H.A.B.O, left pleasure seekers asking for more as they kept them on their toes during their stunning performances and made way for BOMU award winner, Amantle Brown, who had the crowd eating out of her palm with her smash hit, Black Mampatile.
Crowd puller, Vee-Mampeezy did not want to be out shined, his acrobatic dance moves and serenading performances of tinkle hits such as Taku Taku and I do left party animals on rapture.
Mlesho of Tlhomela fame also put up a splendid performance that left carousers on cloud nine with his popular and much celebrated hit, Tlhomela Baby.
As for international artistes, they left no stone unturned either.
The legendary South African super group, Trompies hit the stage and immediately put the crowd on their feet, with performances of classic songs such as Sweetie Lavo, and Madibuseng.
The multi award winning super group were draped in their classic pantsula attire and their dance moves proved that they still have what it takes to serenade night crawllers.
Dr Malinga also set the stage ablaze with his energetic dance moves.
His rendition of his smash hit, Via Orlando raised the temperature at the event to a fever pitch.
The Kanye born Ditiro Leero proved that dynamite comes in small packages as he ushered in a beautiful sunrise with the performance of songs from his latest musical offering.
The third edition of Ga Maila Festive Meltdown was therefore a success with only few petty cases reported to the police. ENDS
