Christmas frenzy is upon Serowe and most entertainment promoters are setting stages in various venues to charm music lovers during the festive season.

The 360 Conglomerate events company is among those and would host a first ever Ga-mmangwato jazz festival slated for Serowe Sports Complex on Christmas day.

The director of 360 Conglomerate, Modiredi Keitshokile, said the objective was to reach out to Ga-mmangwato community, and bring them together to celebrate the special day.

He said Christmas was a time for family and sharing, hence their decision to start the day with patients at Sekgoma Memorial Hospital.

Modiredi said they would shower patients and children born on that day with gifts.

From Sekgoma they would proceed to Serowe stadium where they would  have a family fun day.

“We have a lot of games catered for children like water slides, face paintings and foam pool, just to mention a few,” said the director.

He said the show would features Djs from the area and they would later on during the day make way for award winning artistes such as Lister Boleseng and Amantle Brown.

“While growing up, we used to group ourselves and go to places such as Serowe Hotel to have fun. We then noticed that the working class was never catered for, and the idea of  a jazz festival was born,” explained Modiredi.

He added that they also wanted to be unique and differ with all the other festivals by having a jazz theme.

Tickets will be P40 for children, P100 for adults and P160 early bird double ticket, he said. ENDS
