Bifm traditional night soothes souls

04 Dec 2016

The 15th edition of Bifm Traditional Music Expo held in BotswanaCraft on Thursday (December 1) has proved to be still popular and improving with time as its demand is exceeding expectation.

According to Bifm CEO, Neo Bogatsu, called for more companies to come on board and be part of the event so that more community members could filter in and enjoy the night away in a stylish, traditional way.

The toast on the night Sereetsi and the Natives, who took to the stage after an amiable welcome performance by the ever enthusiastic Mafitlhakgosi Tradition Troupe, did not disappoint his legion of fans as he systematically picked them through his favourite songs.

It was not until he sang Abuti Rankokonyana a re o a nyala that the crowd went berserk in the true sense of word and called for encore which unfortunately was not possible as time was running fast like mad dog.

Equally captivating was poetic Moreri Moroka who rendered two sets of poems with one specifically directed at the host, Bogatsu and her company, while the other one was a romantic Ballard.

Then came Ramonyaku with Doom insecticide claiming to deliver people from satanic demons, an act which reminded people of the latest South African pastor who administered Doom on people as he claimed it has Holy healing properties.

Ditiro together with Matsieng backing group and Deben Natale surely outclassed themselves with their sterling performance which were punctuated by gypsy dance moves.

Diphika Tsa Ngwao on the other hand was an icing on the cake as their dancing talent in raw and untamed.

Surly Bifm has a good timing for cultural events like these as people prepare to unwind as the year goes down and a new dawn breaks for the New Year.

The cultural night indeed has healing properties which are rare and mind boggling. ENDS
