Maun police are investigating an incident in which a 96-year-old man of Boseja ward in Maun was hit by a Toyota Hilux vehicle along Sekgoma road.

Maun Police Station commander superintendent Motlhaba Ramabya said the victim was rushed to Letsholathebe II Memorial Hospital but later died.

He said a 36-year-old Zimbabwean national was helping the police with investigations. The suspect would appear at Maun Magistrate court on November 10 while the incident happened on November 6.

A 25-year-old woman of Boyei ward in Maun is also assisting Maun police with investigations on a count of attempted murder.

Supt Ramabya said the suspect is alleged to have attempted to murder his brother with a gun over a misunderstanding; However the bullet missed the 29-year-old brother .

A 38 year old man of Sedie ward is also helping with investigations for indecent assault concerning two young girls aged nine years and five years old respectively also of Sedie ward, Supt Ramabya has said.

Still in Maun, three men aged between 33-37-years are helping the police with investigations over robbery that occurred at Laha Hotel in Boseja. ENDS
